We delivered a feasibility study and several design options for a small summer gallery called Lootch, located within a courtyard surrounded by factories and offices of an energy company in Moscow.
Our design for the gallery and its surrounding landscape was influenced by the existing buildings’ heritage and industrial characteristics. It preserves the essence of the factory’s heritage while supporting the future of the industry.
We took inspiration from the traditional Russian Dacha or ‘summer house’, known for providing Russia’s urban dwellers with the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
The gallery, located at the centre of the development, would be a ‘getaway’ or ‘oasis’ from the surrounding commercial buildings, serving as a retreat for visitors.
