Cardiff Central Transport Services

The Cardiff Central Transport Services Department is a 10,000-square-foot facility, serving as a vehicle maintenance depot and a central administration hub for Cardiff County Council’s fleet of specialised vehicles.

The facility is equipped with workshops, vehicle wash, tyre changing areas and canopies, cycle parking shelters and surface parking for service and fleet vehicles, offices, storage, and staff amenity spaces.

The main workshop area can service and maintain a fleet of up to fourteen fleet vehicles and includes four fully equipped working inspection pits. There is also a fabrication and maintenance workshop for Cardiff’s Parks vehicles.

The building is equipped with solar PVs and achieved a BREAAM rating of ‘Very Good’ with the mandatory credits for ‘Excellent’ under the energy credits Ene 1.

Beyond looking after the council fleet, the CTS department has expanded its services to cater to customers and commercial partners.
