Stepping into senior roles – Rio’s latest promotions
We’re pleased to announce the promotions of Claudio Couto and Nia Morgan to the role of Senior Architectural Technologist. Their passion, innovative thinking, and expertise have significantly contributed to our success, and these advancements reflect their hard work and leadership within the team.
Holding a postgraduate degree in sustainable mega buildings, Claudio’s expertise extends to creating future-proof designs for high-rise buildings.
His diverse portfolio, gained since joining Rio in 2017, includes the recently highly commended Verse build-to-rent development in Cardiff. This project showcases MMC and Claudio’s ability to marry creative solutions with practical execution. As one of the few developments in Cardiff to adopt this forward-thinking approach, the Verse project is leading the way in applying MMC to high-rise buildings in South Wales. Claudio’s determination, collaborative approach and forward-thinking mindset have been pivotal to the success of projects like Verse in Cardiff.
Nia’s promotion highlights her curiosity in integrating emerging technologies into architectural practice. She approaches every challenge with thoroughness and methodical thinking, ensuring that each decision is well-informed and grounded in meticulous research. Her deep understanding of technological advancements, combined with her precision and attention to detail, has elevated the collective expertise of our team through her efforts in knowledge sharing across the studio.
Over her 7+ years with us, Nia has worked on several significant projects. Most notably, she provided technical expertise on White Rose View, a 28-storey project and the 20-storey Live Oasis St Albans Place in Leeds, where she supported the team leading subcontractor coordination, design package management, design coordination and was fundamental to the success of the project’s delivery.
Both promotions will undoubtedly reinforce our commitment to delivering exceptional results for our clients and the communities we serve and are intrinsic to producing our best work in a rapidly evolving industry.
